The Lithuanian public institution MUSICA VITALE

The Lithuanian public institution MUSICA VITALE was established in 2011 in Vilnius (Lithuania) and has since been engaged in active operations in Italy.

The institution is a member of the ECMTA – European Chamber Music Teachers' Association. It has had the privilege of collaborating with the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Italy, the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Lithuania, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, the Kaunas State Philharmonic, the Klaipėda Concert Hall, the Vytautas Magnus University Music Academy, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art, the Conservatory of Music Juozas Tallat-Kelpša in Vilnius (Lithuania), the Lithuanian National Museum, the Italian Cultural Association “Terra Gialla” and the “Wanda Landowska” International Harpsichord Competition, the Municipality of Gallese, the Accademia Filarmonica Romana, the Alba Music Festival, and the Società Aquilana dei concerti “B. Barattelli” and, “I Solisti Aquilani”, the Music and Theatre Society “Primo Riccitelli”, the Alfredo Casella State Conservatory of Music in L'Aquila, the Italian Cultural Institute of Vilnius, and other cultural and state institutions, both in Lithuania and Italy.

The institution's primary objective is to facilitate the implementation of projects that advance culture, education, and social communication.   A key part of this mission is establishing and fostering a network of international contacts, promoting the exchange of ideas and experiences among professionals in the field. Moreover, the institution actively seeks to forge new partnerships between Lithuanian and international cultural organisations, underscoring its collaborative nature.

In pursuit of its objectives, the institution MUSICA VITALE organises a diverse range of events. These include music competitions providing a platform for young talents, festivals celebrating cultural diversity, training courses enhancing professional skills, and summer academies offering intensive learning experiences. This variety of events reflects the institution's commitment to promoting culture, education, and social communication.

Since 2011, MUSICA VITALE has been organising the Vilnius International Youth Music Competition “Premio Scarlatti”, reaching its seventh edition, and the International Music Festival “Le strade d’Europa”. In the events organised by the institution, we have been delighted to welcome artists from Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Finland, Belgium, Russia, Azerbaijan, Italy, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Turkey, the USA, South Korea, China and Taiwan.

MUSICA VITALE receives funding from public organisations and institutions in Lithuania and Italy to realise its activities.
